    KBMO FIT22 Food Sensitivity Panel
    FIT22 assesses immune reactivity to 22 foods, giving you a starting point for understanding the food-related patterns reported by the laboratory. This is different from an IgE allergy test and does not diagnose a food allergy. Your personal Report of Findings helps you understand the reported responses and the limitations of the test.

    Gut Barrier Permeability Panel
    Food-sensitivity responses and gut-barrier findings are different questions. This separate KBMO panel assesses immune responses involving zonulin, occludin, lipopolysaccharides (LPS), and Candida. It is included with FIT22, but remains a distinct test—not another food on the sensitivity panel.
    • Zonulin: immune-response information related to intestinal permeability and tight-junction regulation
    • Occludin: immune responses involving a protein associated with intestinal tight junctions
    • LPS: immune reactivity to lipopolysaccharides, components of certain bacteria
    • Candida: immune reactivity involving Candida, interpreted alongside the other findings
    These findings require professional interpretation. The panel is not a direct count of Candida organisms or a medical diagnosis on its own.

Common Questions
Do I need to arrange my own doctor's order?
Our doctors order these clinical-grade tests for you as part of your package. You do not need to arrange and pay for separate doctor's visits just to obtain the testing orders. Depending on what those visits would cost, this may save you a few hundred dollars in appointment fees. Actual savings vary by provider and insurance coverage. Keep your own physician and dentist for ongoing care.
How are the samples collected?
Three test components use two types of at-home sample collection. FIT22 and the included Gut Barrier Permeability Panel use the KBMO finger-prick blood collection. Orobiome uses a saliva sample. Follow the instructions in each kit; collection materials and prepaid return envelopes are included.
How long until I receive my results?
Results timelines vary by laboratory. KBMO FIT22 and the included Gut Barrier Panel typically return results within 5–7 business days after the laboratory receives your sample. The Orobiome results typically arrive within 10–14 business days of the lab receiving your sample. You'll receive email notifications for each result as it becomes available.
Will I receive help interpreting my results?
Yes. Your package includes a private 60-minute personal consultation, called a Report of Findings, with a certified health coach. You go over the FIT22, Gut Barrier Permeability, and Orobiome results together. Your coach explains what the reports show in plain English, answers questions, and clarifies the tests' limitations. The session is educational results interpretation, not medical diagnosis, treatment, or prescribing.
Can I upgrade to the full Explore Tier later?
Yes. If you decide you want the full diagnostic picture later, you can add the FIT176 upgrade and the GI-MAP through one of our upgrade path packages, applying credit for the tests you've already completed.
Is this available outside the United States?
The Explore Tier — FIT22 and Orobiome package is currently available to US residents only due to laboratory logistics and shipping requirements. International availability is in development. If you are outside the US and interested, contact us at support@theurbanmonk.com to be added to the international waitlist.

Doctor ordering provides access to testing. The Report of Findings is education and results interpretation and does not replace medical or dental care. Keep your own physician and dentist for diagnosis and treatment decisions. Individual results vary.

Test Kit Return Policy

To protect product integrity, safety, and quality-control standards, test kits are non-refundable once opened, used, or tampered with. This includes opening kit packaging, breaking a seal, removing or using any testing component, or otherwise altering the kit from its original unopened condition.

Unopened, sealed test kits may be eligible for return within 15 days of delivery, subject to a $25 restocking fee and return to our warehouse.
