What is the difference between the Fit 22 and the Fit 176?
The Fit 22 tests your immune response to the 22 most common inflammatory foods — an excellent starting point for most people. The Fit 176 tests 154 additional foods, additives, and food chemicals. In clinical practice, many patients find their most significant triggers are in the expanded panel, not the initial screen. If you want complete certainty, or if you've already addressed the Fit 22 triggers and still have symptoms, the Fit 176 gives you the full picture.
How is this different from a standard food allergy test?
Standard allergy tests measure IgE antibodies — immediate, acute reactions. The KBMO Fit 176 measures IgG and IgA antibodies, which reveal delayed food sensitivities that can take 24–72 hours to manifest as symptoms. These are the reactions most people never connect to the foods causing them. The gut permeability test is a separate marker entirely — it measures intestinal barrier integrity, which no standard allergy test addresses.
How long until I get my results?
Once the lab receives your sample, results are typically ready within 5–7 business days. You'll receive an email notification when your report is ready, and your health coach will reach out to schedule your 60-Minute Concierge Strategy Session.
Do I need to fast before taking the sample?
No fasting is required. The finger-prick blood sample can be taken at any time of day. Detailed instructions are included in your kit — the process takes under five minutes and is designed to be done at home without any medical assistance.
Is this available outside the United States?
This kit is currently available to US residents only. The laboratory processing and physical kit shipping are US-based. International availability is in development — join our email list to be notified when it launches in your country.
What if I already ordered the Fit 22 — can I upgrade?
If you have already ordered the Fit 22 and your kit has not yet been shipped, contact our team and we can upgrade your order to the Fit 176. Once a sample has been shipped out, we are unable to retrieve or upgrade it. A $50 restocking fee applies to unopened kits returned within 14 days.
