Description

Orobiome Oral Microbiome Testing Package
Your Gut Problem Might Start
in Your Mouth.
The oral microbiome is the upstream gateway to your entire digestive system. Pathogenic bacteria in your mouth seed gut dysbiosis, drive systemic inflammation, and contribute to everything from bloating and fatigue to cardiovascular disease and cognitive decline. Most gut programs never look here. This one starts here.
The Oral-Gut Connection Most Practitioners Miss

Your mouth contains over 700 species of bacteria β€” the second most complex microbial ecosystem in your body after your gut. Every time you swallow, you're seeding your gut with whatever is living in your mouth. If your oral microbiome is dominated by pathogenic species, those bacteria travel downstream and establish colonies in your gut, driving the dysbiosis that causes chronic digestive symptoms, immune dysfunction, and systemic inflammation.

Research now links oral dysbiosis to gut permeability, cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and metabolic dysfunction. Yet standard gut testing never looks at the oral microbiome β€” which is exactly why so many gut protocols produce incomplete results. The Orobiome test is the missing upstream piece.

What You'll Know After This Test
🦠
Your Oral Pathogen Load
Which pathogenic bacterial species are present, at what levels, and which ones are known drivers of gut dysbiosis, gum disease, cardiovascular inflammation, and systemic immune activation.
πŸ”—
Your Upstream Gut Drivers
The specific oral bacteria that are seeding downstream gut imbalances β€” explaining why gut-only protocols have produced incomplete results and where the real intervention needs to start.
🎯
Your Priority Interventions
Specific clinical recommendations from a licensed dentist β€” not generic oral hygiene advice, but targeted interventions based on your exact bacterial profile and what the science says works for your specific imbalances.
Five Guides Included with Your Package

"I'd spent two years working on my gut with every protocol imaginable. Nothing stuck. The Orobiome test showed I had significant oral pathogen load that was reseeding my gut every time I swallowed. Once I addressed the oral piece, my gut responded in a way it never had before. The dentist consultation was worth the entire price alone."

"I was skeptical that my mouth had anything to do with my gut problems. The test showed three pathogenic species at elevated levels β€” all of them documented in the research as gut dysbiosis drivers. The dentist explained exactly what each one meant and what to do about it. It completely reframed how I think about gut health."

How does the Orobiome test work?
The kit ships to your door within 24 hours of purchase. Collection is a simple saliva swab β€” no clinic visit, no blood draw, no discomfort. You return the sample via the prepaid envelope included in the kit. The CLIA-certified lab processes your sample using advanced DNA sequencing to identify and quantify every significant bacterial species in your oral ecosystem. Results are returned within 10–14 business days. Note: date of birth and biological sex are required at checkout for accurate lab reference ranges.
Why do I need a dentist to review my results β€” can't I just read them myself?
The raw results list bacterial species by name and relative abundance β€” but interpreting what that means for your specific health situation requires clinical expertise. Not all elevated bacteria are equally concerning; some are opportunistic, some are directly pathogenic, and some are markers of other underlying issues. The licensed dentist consultation ensures you understand what your results actually mean, which findings require immediate attention, and what the specific clinical interventions are for your profile β€” not a generic protocol.
How does the oral microbiome affect my gut?
Every time you swallow β€” roughly 600–700 times per day β€” you're seeding your gut with the bacteria living in your mouth. If your oral microbiome contains elevated levels of pathogenic species like Fusobacterium nucleatum, Porphyromonas gingivalis, or Treponema denticola, those bacteria travel to your gut and can establish colonies that drive dysbiosis, increase intestinal permeability, and activate systemic immune responses. Research has linked specific oral pathogens to colorectal cancer, Alzheimer's disease, cardiovascular disease, and rheumatoid arthritis β€” all via the oral-gut-systemic axis.
How does this relate to the Explore Testing Tier?
The Orobiome test is one of the three tests included in the Explore Testing Tier ($1,450), which also includes the KBMO Fit 176 Food Sensitivity Panel and GI MAP Deep Microbiome Analysis. This standalone Orobiome package ($399) is ideal if you want to start with the oral piece specifically, or if you're working with a practitioner who has already completed other gut testing. If you want the complete three-test diagnostic picture, the Explore Testing Tier includes all three together at a combined value of $1,250–$1,800+.
Is there a refund policy?
The test kit can be returned unopened within 30 days for a refund minus a restocking fee. Once the kit has been activated and the sample submitted to the lab, the test fee is non-refundable as the lab processing costs are incurred at that point. Please contact support before activating your kit if you have any questions.
